Manuel José Molano Ruiz
Manuel offers our clients specialized advice in quantitative and qualitative analysis, competitiveness, public policy and agricultural markets.
Previously, he was Deputy Director, Chief Economist and Director General of the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO) from 2006 to 2021. Before that, he was Director General of the Trading Trust and Director of Economic Studies at the Agriculture Ministry’s Agribusiness Promotion Vice Ministry.
He holds a BS in Economics from Mexico City’s Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and a Masters in Agricultural Economics from the University of London’s Imperial College. He teaches a seminar on the Mexican Economy at the Tecnológico de Monterrey and sits on the board of several civil organizations and companies. He is also a columnist for national media. He won the Banamex National Economics Prize.
