Edna Arisbet Roque García
Edna is an expert in international politics and regional economic integration of Mexico with North America (USMCA) and the European Union (EU-Mexico FTA). She is also a specialist in cultural diplomacy, Mexican foreign policy and international economic relations. She has experience in foreign trade matters between Mexico and Germany, as well as in the analysis and research of the diplomatic relationship between Mexico and Austria.
She currently works in the international trade area of AGON, mainly focused on the implementation of the USMCA and Mexico’s economic policy. She also collaborates in projects on foreign investment, antitrust practices and economic competition, as well as in the elaboration of macroeconomic analysis.
Prior to joining AGON, she carried out a research stay at the University of Vienna, at the Department of Political Science, where she developed a comprehensive study of the Mexico-Austria relationship which considered political dialogue, cultural diplomacy and bilateral economic integration.
Edna Roque holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the same institution, both degrees obtained with Summa Cum Laude. She also holds a Diploma in International Trade Negotiations from El Colegio de Mexico (COLMEX), among other specialized courses.
