Public Strategy

Our partners led the process of negotiation, lobbying and communication that resulted in two major reforms to the Federal Economic Competition Law and advised diverse political parties leading up to the 2013 constitutional reform on competition and telecommunications that ushered in the current strengthened regulatory regime.

At Agon we know the culture, the practice and the players involved. Plus, we are uniquely able to bring to bear hard data and substantive arguments. That’s why we excel at finding the way for the merits to prevail over preconceptions, resistance, and fear of political costs.

We understand that communications and direct contacts with policymakers need to be tools in the service of often complex negotiation to achieve our clients’ substantive needs. We move seamlessly between these disciplines, coordinating specialists in each of them according to an overall strategy devised by us and our clients.

Our partners have participated in (and often sparked) the public and closed-door discussion on legislative and administrative reforms of pensions systems, retail banking, international trade, telecommunications and broadcasting, airports, freedom of information, and administrative procedures, among others.
